The Squat is a fundamental movement pattern that should be a part of every client’s program design. This course is an introduction to the Squat exercise. This course guides personal trainers in designing effective, squat-heavy programs and recognizing when to regress or advance the squat or select appropriate variations. It will include a comprehensive review of nearly every squat variation, from stability ball squats to overhead squats and everything in between. Students will learn how to meet their clients where they are and select and coach the proper squat variation correctly. Enhance your ability to execute and coach squats effectively, ensuring your clients achieve their fitness goals safely and efficiently.
The purpose of this course is to equip fitness professionals with the knowledge to quickly assess clients’ movement abilities and select proper squat exercise options that are appropriate and effective. In addition to learning the pros and cons of each squat variation, fitness professionals will also learn how to recognize when it is appropriate to introduce more advanced squat variations to their clients. This is a needed skill set for fitness professionals to help clients to reach their goals.
